I've recently been working with a local educational website. While the kinks in the site are still being worked out, I've been cleared to show off some of the artwork.

Treasure Island Character Inks
A couple of inks for Treasure Island character drawings. There are more to come, just thought I'd upload a couple now. I've been working pretty cartoonish. Thought it would be nice to do a bit more comic book artwork, less cartoon network influence.

Christmas Card
I was asked to do a Christmas card that involved some rather non-Jewish animals....so I made them into the three wise men....Epic dorkiness!
Clown Car
Some artwork that I was asked to do by a client of Post No Bills. I wasn't given much information, just that they were looking for a sample illustration of a children's book that involved two children planning the coolest 7 year old birthday party ever.

Recital Poster
A friend from undergrad recently asked me to do a poster for her graduate recital. She mentioned that she was interested in more abstract art rather than any straight illustration content. I messed around with it for a while, but all the ideas I had were visual puns, more cartoons rather than anything abstract. It took me a bit, but I came up with this poster. Something of a Da Da meets 1920's sheet music cover art.

Beaufort Film Society Poster Top 10
The Beaufort Film Society is having a run-off competition tonight that decides whose poster will be used for marketing next year's festival. It's kind of funny to look at how mine stands out compared to the other posters. Most of them are textured and lean more towards graphic design. Mine? I was thinking simple colors and no texture in case there were plans for screen-printing in the marketing campaign. So I used three colors and simple shapes. Anyways, we'll see who comes out on top tonight! Check out the link to see the competition Top 10.

Happy Hour iPhone App.
Some artwork that I did recently for an iphone app. The brief stipulated that each screen needed to have iconic elements that would represent the city of Columbia, SC. I chose some familiar statues, buildings, and a well-known mural to act as centerpieces for the app.
Beaufort Film Society Poster
Some recent work for the local community. The theme was an international film festival, so I thought to myself that there's nothing more international than space. International space station. The earth. Plasma. So I set a film crew in the middle of international cosmic real estate with their focus directed towards little old South Carolina.
