Halloween Preview of Upcoming Comic: Evil Overthrowers Concept Art

In honor of Halloween 2012, I thought I'd post some of the concept sketches for an upcoming horror comic I'm working on in my spare time...It's called Evil Overthrowers and it involves a malevolent intergalactic force trying to take over the world by taking on the attributes of the things that pop culture says scare people...namely, zombies, nazis, aliens, vampires all hell bent on murder. I've got the heroes for the comic designed as well, but I'll save them for a later date.

Death Elf and Woose Daily Webcomic #11

Momentum Logo

A quick logo redesign for a men's outreach program named momentum.

Embrace Logo

A logo for a women's outreach group...they wanted something really soft and girly. My suggestion was kinda cheesy...but I was like "women = flowers", "embrace = hands"...so this was the result.

Death Elf and Woose Daily Webcomic #10

Village Square Logo Redesign

I noticed recently that the somewhat local little theater is having to use clip art for their logo...so I decided to take a crack at helping them redesign their logo. Most of their productions are children-based, geared at younger audiences, so I wanted to make a logo that was fun, slightly wonky, and that would help promote the child friendly atmosphere of the productions. I really wanted to use a backdrop in the design; backdrops were always the most memorable aspects of the dramatic productions I attended as a child....I chose a font that wasn't too "kiddified", but not too serious either. With this in the bag, I'm going to move on to redesigning their web page, which could really use some tender loving care....

Death Elf and Woose Comic Teaser

Rachel and I are getting close to launching our first webcomic. We've got about 22 pages drawn and inked....we just need a good online comic site to host our stuff and then we'll be ready to go....Here's the cover of the first chapter or issue for a teaser....

Web Page Illustration: My Interactive America

I did some backgrounds recently for My Interactive America. They'll be a sort of interactive sticker sheet background for a section of their website. It's an online version of those old sticker sheets where you got a background and then stickers that could be stuck and removed all over the page.

Like this! So much fun! I wish we could print these off and have hard copies to hand out to the kids.
