Fantasy Characters: Colored Pencils
So today I went to man hell. In layman's terms, that would be the IKEA store in Charlotte, NC. During the trip I listened to NPR and decided to play around with colored pencils and some fantasy artwork. I drew a rather preppy looking knight, a gnarled old witch, and a minor tree deity. It was fun. And by drawing continuously, I survived my trip to man hell alive and I am only slightly more broke than I was yesterday. My wife on the other hand, is more broke than Congress.

Treasure Island Drawing
Sketchbook - Alice Through The Looking Glass
These are some drawings of Alice Through The Looking Glass characters that I did in preparation for my thesis illustrations. They're a little more simplified than I normally like, but my goal was to tone down the patterns and weird proportions to make the thesis work easier to animate.

Sketchbook - Fantasy, SciFi, Monster, Western Drawings
Thought that I'd upload some of the sketches that I did this last weekend. I drove to Atlanta for graduation practice on Friday and found myself with tons of time to kill, so I drew. In a group of 300 other artists, I was the only person with a sketchbook. Thought that was a little odd...that's the way it's always been though, everyone else is playing on their phones and I'm busy drawing. Gotta get better any way I can you know....All these were drawn in a 3 hour period of commencement rehearsal. The next day was graduation, but I spent the free time then talking to my wife on the phone.
