I've gotten into the habit of looking at fine art books that feature artists that are unfamiliar to me. After 7 years of a college fine art education, I'm sick of hearing about the same old artists all the time. I recently picked up a book featuring African artwork to show to some art students of mine. I've posted a couple of examples of pieces that stood out to me. I love the abstraction, colors, and patterns that many of these contain. I'm hoping that they will aid me in my endeavor to solidify my own use of color and technique.
I find it inspiring how abstract art can utilize such vibrant colours and unique patterns.
